Why you may never need to bunnyhop your bike again

Jeff Lenosky says you may not need to bunnyhop ever again
Jeff Lenosky shows what he means in this "big example."

Jeff Lenosky is a veteran rider with a 20-year professional career, three Observed Trials U.S. National Championships, and a bunnyhopping World Record to his name. In his instructional video, Jeff covers a technique he calls a "Punch," which he feels is a more practical, useful technique for getting up and over obstacles while out on the trail.

Have a watch below and then grab your mountain bike to practice and master this skill.

Jeff's reasons to use a punch instead of a bunnyhop are:

  1. Seat height doesn't matter, dropper post or not.
  2. You don't need as much speed and can execute it uphill or downhill.
  3. You'll be able to get high even if you're on a dual-suspension bike.
