Ultegra has always been a reliable level in Shimano's range. I have run the pedals and gearing on various bikes with no reliability issues to speak of.

The 6700 model is no different with alloy plates on the contact surface providing more longevity than the previous version that we fitted with plastic that did wear out quickly.

Shimano cleats are standard across the road range with the yellow(with float) and red (no float).

For reliability and value for money these are my pick for road pedals.
