Pure Fix Cycles Zulu (2017)

The 2017 Pure Cycles Zulu is a flat-bar fixie. Ace for speeding around town, with fast-rolling, stiff 50mm-deep rims, a light, resilient steel frameset, Kenda semi-slick pavement tires, and big lightweight platform pedals, it's got a secret identity that is only visible on night rides: it glows in the dark. Coated in solar-sensitive paint, it soaks up light and radiates brightly for as long as an hour, increasing visibility dramatically. Beneath that glowing exterior, it's a fine city bike: the flip-flop rear hub can go freewheel or fixed. The front caliper is easily removed for pure fixie aficionados.
