That frame design. Just WOW! The guys at Cervelo have a knack for producing some of the most beautiful bikes on the road today. Regardless of componentry on any given model, Cervelo ALWAYS make the bike look the part. They make good looks very affordable, without skimping on the quality.

The Cervelo S2 105 model under our microscope is one of the sexiest entry level race bikes we've seen in quite some time. Featuring the same frame shaping as the flagship models, the carbon fiber frame is super aerodynamic, and equally as comfortable. The geometry of this bike lends itself to racing, so be ready for a super responsive performance machine.

Even more on that frame, the Cervelo S2 features some extra thin seat stays offering class leading comfort and performance. On top of that, the optimized headtube boosts stiffness and handling, again crafting the steering of an elite racing bike. One cool detail is the way the drink bottle acts as part of the airfoil frame design - making the bottle a performance booster instead of an air brake.

The components on this bike lends itself to affordability without slacking in the performance stakes. A mixed Shimano / FSA groupset of 105 shifters, Tiagra cassette and

FSA crankset will keep you rolling, lap after lap. This mix of components does not affect performance in any way, however it does allow you to save some bucks on items less important than the frame quality.

The hoops are a set of Shimano R501 wheels taking care of your forward motion. Not the lightest wheels on the market, you could definitely look at upgrading these at a later date. That's the only major point we can make about upgrading, and fortunately a bike of this caliber is definitely worth it.

A well associated partner of Cervelo, 3T Components have taken care of all the steering requirements. A 3T Ergonova handlebar and stem look the part, no matter the bike! In the comfort department, Sella Royal have fitted a Seta model seat to the Cervelo Aero Carbon SP15 seatpost. All this adds up to a quality ride with good value.

The S2 105 would be a perfect bike for anyone wanting to try their hand at racing or just as a performance bike to join in a local bunch ride. It offers excellent aerodynamics, comfort and handling, and the frame oozes class and quality. A top buy worthy of many years riding and potentially upgrading.
