SRM Bike Parts & Accessories
SRM is a German manufacturer of power measurement equipment for cyclists. Today's catalogue includes crank-based power meters, computers, software, and indoor trainers. SRM gear is available from dealers around the world, and from their online shop.
Founded by Ulrich Schoberer is 1986, SRM's first product was a power meter that integrated with a crank spider. This original was the first on-bike measurement system, freeing cyclists from the lab and providing data over spans of hours, not days, and during competition. Embraced promptly by the professional cycling community, SRM has had a great run since its inception, providing equipment to cycling greats from Greg Lemond to Mario Cippolini, and even adopted for use on the Mir space station.
The power meters have come a long way from the original, a massive Rube Goldberg contraption with visible levers and springs. Today's meters integrate elegantly with a plethora of different manufacturers' cranks, from Campagnolo's Record carbon set to the latest from Cannondale and Specialized, with versions for road, MTB, track, and even a BMX kit. The meters are exceptionally durable, providing precise data under the most arduous conditions, waterproof, cold tolerant, and tough.
SRM's on-bike computer is small, full function, and mounts elegantly with a slender clamp holding the computer just ahead of the stem. ANT+ compatible, colorful, and capable of recording thousands of training hours.
Software for PC or Mac provides extensive data analyses and convenience features, from cloud-based data sharing to note-taking, with means, targets, and all the data available, including heart rate, if a monitor is used.
Two complete trainers are offered, the IndoorTrainer for individual use and the Ergometer, a comprehensive data collection machine. Both are exceptionally versatile, able to provide powerful resistance and large amounts of precise data, coordinated with a software package in the case of the Ergometer.
SRM makes excellent power meters helpful for training cyclists in all disciplines. Check out their gear at your local shop and see how SRM can improve your performance.
