Shinola Bike Parts & Accessories

Shinola is a U.S.-based manufacturer of a range of hand-crafted goods, from watches to bicycles. Bikes and bike accessories are available from the company's own stores, local shops, and online.

The company's mission is to establish a thriving manufactory in Detroit, once the heart of industry in the U.S. To this end they have been steadily expanding operations, also partnering with other like-minded U.S.-based companies. Beginning with watch assembly, the company has increased its capacities, today manufacturing a wealth of different products, from leatherwork to dog toys to watches and, predominantly, bicycles.

The production bicycles are city bikes, one and all. Practical beneath the stylish exteriors, each has internal gearing, full fenders and chainguards. Some have racks, some disc brakes. Each of the three models is available in a range of colors and sizes, in traditional diamond and step-through frames.

Shinola has also created a number of limited-edition bikes; the online gallery serves to show off the fine craftsmanship of the workers at Shinola's Detroit headquarters. Highlights include a glow-in-the-dark Runwell, the 'Wright Brothers,' a gorgeously equipped bike with accessories from bamboo fenders to a stainless steel water bottle, an electronic Shimano Di2 Alfine build, and, of course, a Detroit Lions blue edition of the production Arrow.
