Quarq Bike Parts & Accessories
Quarq is a U.S.-based manufacturer of power meters. The current catalogue includes meters incorporated into full cranksets and replacement spiders, data collectors, software, mounts, and adaptors. All Quarq products are available from bike shops around the world or directly from the company via their website.
Founded in 2006, Quarq began with but a single meter, the CinQo. Its innovative design made a big impression on riders, providing simple installation and wireless capability, and caught SRAM's eye; a combined crank/meter was produced in the next generation. Growth was steady for the next few years, culminating in Quarq joining the SRAM product family. Today the company continues to produce effective new designs.
The road meters are the mainstay of Quarq's product line. Compatible with high-end SRAM and Shimano drivetrains, the meters include tool-free battery replacement, ANT+ and Bluetooth connectivity, a plethora of arm lengths and bottom bracket fittings, and carbon or aluminum construction. Software and apps are freely available from the company; an ANT+ USB dongle is also available. Precision is consistently high; Quarq has incorporated temperature compensation, providing reliable reporting in all seasons.
Quarq also offers meters for off-road. An extensive number of configurations are available: one- or multiple-chainring, conventional or Boost spacing, 9, 10, 11 or 12-cog. A complete replacement for SRAM XX1 Eagle cranks is available. Off-road meters provide the same precision as the road meters in a more robust package.
Quarq has its own tracking site, allowing riders to share results and routes with friends and family. Seamlessly working with its own collection device, the Qollector, it will also link to smart phones via an app.
Quarq meters are accurate and work with many bikes, riding styles, and drivetrains. Check out their products at your local shop.
