Osprey Bike Parts & Accessories
Osprey Packs is a manufacturer of backpacks and travel gear. Designing for the athletic customer, Osprey makes bags ready for abuse: sturdy, durable and long-lasting. Their customers include skiiers of the Himalayas, ice climbers, mountain climbers, and eco-challengers. Packs range from general use to special-purpose, including everything from hydration packs to child carriers, wheeled rollies to duffels, and giant to tiny.
The company is headquartered in Colorado in the western United States, near the foot of the San Juan mountains, with its manufactory in Ho Chi Minh city in Vietnam. Osprey gear is available world-wide, with an extensive network of distributors spanning six continents.
Mike Pfotenhauer and Laurie White founded the company in 1974, making custom, one-off packs for hikers. After a decade, Osprey finally became a wholesale operation, and expansion began in earnest. Today Osprey makes thousands of packs every year for adventurers around the globe.
Osprey's main line is hiker's backpacks. From the immense Zenith, 105 liters of capacity, down to the 28-liter Mutant, every pack is structurally designed for long wear comfort and utility. Specialty packs within the line are available for mountaineering, skiing, bike packing and the like, with little touches perfecting the wearer's experience; bike packs have attachments for taillights and helmet toting off the bike, an add-on crampon sack attaches seamlessly for mountaineers, and the skiiers' packs fit comfortably on lifts.
More lightweight, but no less well-designed, the daypacks are masterpieces of convenience, with big flap closures allowing easy access to all contents, a plethora of zippered organizing pockets, a laptop sleeve and more. Commuter bags stay cool with ventilation and include an integrated raincover. Hydration packs range from elegant, minimalist designs to utility packs for cyclists and runners. The kid carrier is safe and comfortable, for toter and totee, with rain and sun covers available. The kids' packs, made for hikers from six to eighteen, have the same structural strength and all-day carry comfort as the larger packs. Accessories range from rain and travel covers to a well-nigh indestructible map rollup.
Osprey's gear is tough, comfortable, and utilitarian. Find the pack for you in your local outdoor shop, and take Osprey on your next adventure.
