Lumen Labs is a Hong Kong-based company manufacturing a lighted helmet for cyclists. A brand new entrant to the scene, the first product, a high-visibility cycling helmet, has been prototyped and will enter production during 2016. A highly successful Kickstarter campaign has raised several times the founders' goal.

The Lumos helmet is an enhanced road helmet, studded with LEDs and incorporating sensors and wireless controls. A bar-mounted remote controls turn signals; the velocity sensor brightens the rear lights when slowing. Beneath is a safe, well-designed helmet, which is not notably heavy, is well-ventilated, and comes in three colors.
