Kuat Racks is a US-based manufacturer of bike racks, founded by long-time riding partners Luke Kuschmeader and Brian Atkinson. Beginning with the Alpha and Beta models in 2007, they have expanded steadily, currently offering a wide range of high tech hitch- and roof-mountable bike carriers, from Spartan single clamps to a four-bike carrier. Racks from Kuat run the gamut from affordable to exotic. The simple Transfer mounts on a hitch and firmly secures two or three bikes, according to model, with sturdy steel construction, a high weight load, and easily operated wheel clamps with a capacity big enough for fat bikes.
