ICEdot is the maker of the ICEdot Crash Sensor, a notification system designed to activate in accidents, informing emergency contacts and providing identity information to rescue workers. Ancillary items, from additional mounting brackets for multiple helmet users to ID bands, are also available.

Founded in 2009 by Chris Zenthoefer, ICEdot is a company with a mission: increase the safety of solo riders with crash awareness technology. Based in Oklahoma in the U.S., ICEdot has expanded its operations and is now available worldwide, with distributors across North America, in Europe and Africa. The sensor can be purchased anywhere in the world via the online shop. ICEdot provides a notification service, a year included with the purchase of any sensor, to inform via SMS your emergency contact. The unique ID provided with each sensor can be etched on a bracelet to identify the rider in case of a sensor-damaging accident.

Simple and small, the sensor is easily mounted on practically any helmet with the included mounting clip, attachable with a VHB backing or zip ties. The sensor pairs with a smart phone, using the freely available app to monitor rider movements, track routes, share information, and emit notifications if a dangerous impact is detected.
