Hoy Bike Parts & Accessories
Hoy Bikes is a UK manufacturer of bicycles. At its inception Hoy worked closely with Evans Cycles to design its first two models, one road and one city, each available in a number of different configurations. Today Hoy produces several ranges, now including track bikes and kid's bikes alongside the road and city lines, both now expanded. Every model produced by Hoy is built on an aluminum frame, bucking the industry trend towards off-the-shelf carbon framesets.
Hoy Bikes was founded by Olympic gold medalist Sir Chris Hoy at the time of his retirement from competitive cycling. Announcing the formation of the brand in 2012, the first models, produced in cooperation with Evans Cycles, came off the line in May of 2013. From its beginnings Hoy has offered reasonably-priced and -configured bicycles, eschewing signature models and groups for a more accessible line.
The kid's range was unveiled in 2014. Currently offering models for a very wide range of young cyclists, from the tiny 12"-wheeled Napier Runner balance bike to a real track bike with 650c wheels for serious 8-9-year-old cyclists, Hoy is devoted to encouraging new racers, providing the equipment and, as of 2015, supporting the UK's Go-Ride program, providing bikes to give aspiring cyclists an opportunity to taste all the flavors of modern racing.
Adult models span the full gamut, from a city bike welcoming just-returning casual cyclists, with durable kit and relaxed seating, to the top-end, race-ready Sa Calobra, spec'ed out with high performance Shimano Ultegra and Mavic. Attention to detail is impeccable throughout Hoy's offerings, from flexible geometry fitting a wide range of riding styles to exceptionally strong, light triple-butted 6066 aluminum tubing.
Hoy has started strong, and its future is bright. The regularly updated Hoy line will continue to provide excellent, modern cycles for all kinds of riders. Stop in to a shop and try out a Hoy today.
