Getting your bicycle stolen is just terrible. A lot of times it happens when you're away and even after you've locked it up right. Thieves are brazen and gone in seconds, leaving you without your bike and totally disheartened.
Imagine, though, that you've ridden to Walmart to do a little shopping and emerge to see a thief jumping onto your bike and starting to ride away. You cry out, "Stop him! Stop him! He stole my bike! He stole my bike!" Suddenly a horseback hero gallops into action and tosses his lasso to stop the bad guy and save the day.
It's not a work of fiction, it's the real-life tale of 28-year-old rancher Robert Borba, the crusading cowboy who, with a “couple swings” of his trusty lasso, apprehended the perpetrator and tied him up to a tree, “just like I would a steer.”
